Celebrating 80 Years of David Hockney

Saturday 25 February | 2-3.30pm | Tate Britain

In the hottest exhibition of 2017, Tate Britain gathers together David Hockney's most famous works in painting, drawing, print, photography and video. The show celebrates his astonishing achievements over six decades of vibrant artistic creativity. From swimming pools in LA to the haunting beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, Hockney's vivid and vibrant style is unmistakeable and much loved. We'll start this tour in the permanent collection to explore the influences and contextual backdrop of Hockney's work, before heading into the show to chart the course of his lifetime's work.

In the exhibition the guide will answer questions and talk informally. As it will be an extremely busy 'blockbuster' show, there will only be formal guiding within the permanent collection.

A huge thanks from us for helping make last night’s event so special. We are getting such positive feedback from all of the clients – some of the most glowing I’ve ever received. I was really impressed with everything you guys did so please pass on my thanks to your team as well for making it such a success.

My son Charlie and I were taken round the National Gallery by Rose Balston, and in three brief hours, we were inspired to levels of wonder. Rose has the gift of allowing you to discover things in the paintings that you would never have noticed before…I’d strongly recommend you join an Art History UK tour.
